DEC-QUAT Details

VAI manufactures two different hard surface disinfectants that are processed to comply with the standards required by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare industries.  DEC-QUAT® 100, a quaternary ammonium solution, and DEC-QUAT® 200C, a fifth generation quaternary ammonium solution, were both developed for use in cleaning rotation cycles where hard surface disinfectants are required to maintain a clean environment.

DEC-QUAT 100 is a phosphate-free, one-step, disinfectant, virucide, deodorizer, food and non-food contact sanitizer, and fungicide. US EPA approved efficacy tests have demonstrated that DEC-QUAT 100 is an effective bactericide, virucide, and fungicide in the presence of organic soil (5% blood serum) and effective as a broad spectrum hospital disinfectant. When used as directed, DEC-QUAT 100 meets OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard for HIV, HBV, and HCV and is effective against 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses commonly found on hard non-porous environmental surfaces.

DEC-QUAT 200C is a disinfectant, non-food contact sanitizer, cleaner, mildewstat, fungicide, virucide, and deodorizer.  DEC-QUAT 200C is effective as a broad spectrum hospital disinfectant, fungicide, deodorizer, hard surface disinfectant, and non-food contact sanitizer effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses.  DEC-QUAT 200C is a complete, chemically balanced disinfectant/sanitizer that provides clear use solutions even in the presence of hard water.
